Evidence-based, hands-on treatment for injury, aches and pains, and everyday movement problems — delivered by a team who take the time to professionally evaluate your problem, then help you fix it.
Our physiotherapists work with people recovering from injury, aches and pains, or disability, using a combination of hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, acupuncture, soft tissue and massage techniques, electrotherapy, and practical day-to-day advice. The approach is holistic and grounded in evidence — the aim is to ease pain, restore movement, and help you stay active, working and independent for as long as possible.
Physiotherapy can help at any age. If you're not sure whether we're the right fit for your problem, get in touch — we're happy to talk it through, and if it's not something we can help with directly, we'll do our best to point you towards someone who can.
Our physiotherapists play a key role in treating sciatica and spinal pain, using a mix of manual therapy, tailored exercise and hands-on techniques to ease nerve compression, calm inflammation and restore mobility. We'll also cover the practical side — posture, lifting technique and everyday habits — to help lower the chances of it flaring up again.
Our physiotherapists assess how you sit, stand and move day-to-day to identify what's driving the tension, tightness or headaches. Treatment combines manual therapy, targeted exercise and posture advice to ease symptoms and correct the habits behind them, so the problem is less likely to return.
Following surgery, our physiotherapists guide you through a staged recovery plan, gradually rebuilding strength, flexibility and confidence in the joint or muscle group involved. Treatment is tailored to your procedure and progresses alongside guidance from your surgeon, with practical advice on pacing yourself safely at home.
Our physiotherapists assess the injury, ease pain and swelling, and build a structured rehabilitation programme to restore strength, flexibility and confidence. Alongside hands-on treatment, we'll advise on training load, technique and warm-up habits to help prevent it happening again.
Our physiotherapists identify the movement or posture behind the strain, using manual therapy and targeted exercise to ease pain and inflammation. We'll also look at your workstation setup, technique or daily habits, so the changes that helped you recover also help keep the problem from coming back.
Our physiotherapists use hands-on treatment and tailored exercise to ease joint pain, reduce stiffness and improve movement, particularly for long-term conditions such as osteoarthritis. We'll also advise on pacing activity and simple daily adjustments to help manage symptoms and reduce flare-ups.
If you haven't been to a physiotherapist before, it can help to know what you're walking into. This short film shows how an appointment actually runs — from the initial assessment and questions, through to hands-on treatment.
You'll always be assessed properly before any treatment begins, and your physiotherapist will explain what they've found and what they recommend before doing anything.

Chris qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1997 from Brunel University and has since worked in both NHS and private settings.
Working across these different settings has given him a wide clinical interest covering multiple conditions, supporting his philosophy of treating an individual's wellbeing in an integrated way — whether they are recovering from acute injury, surgery or chronic illness. He developed particular expertise in fatigue management while managing a national Chronic Fatigue (CFS/ME) and movement disorder centre, and worked for many years in a rheumatology service treating a wide variety of inflammatory and chronic pain conditions.
Chris now primarily uses those skills to treat and manage symptoms related to post-viral illness such as Long Covid and CFS/ME, rheumatological and inflammatory conditions, chronic pain, and other complex health conditions. He draws on manual physiotherapy techniques, acupuncture, taping, graded exercise, brief cognitive behavioural intervention and motivational interviewing, and has completed a range of courses to complement his knowledge and maintain professional standards. His long NHS experience gives him insight into care pathways and rehabilitation services, allowing him to work in partnership with patients, families, care providers and GPs, and to refer onwards where appropriate.
Chris is a keen cyclist who has competed in long-distance amateur events both in this country and abroad. He also enjoys golf, walking and gardening.
Chris works at the clinic on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, and does home visits throughout the week.
