Our Services

Alternative & complementary therapies.

Alongside physiotherapy, podiatry and counselling, our practitioners offer a range of complementary therapies — used both on their own and as part of a wider treatment plan.

01
Soft tissue

Sports Massage

Focused, hands-on treatment that works into the muscles and soft tissue to correct problems and imbalances caused by repetitive or strenuous activity. Used before and after exercise it may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury — and despite the name, it isn’t just for athletes.

Traditional therapy

Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles at specific points on the body to help relieve pain and encourage the body's own healing response. At our clinic it is most often used alongside physiotherapy as part of a wider treatment plan, particularly for musculoskeletal pain, muscle tension and chronic pain conditions.

Several of our physiotherapists are qualified in acupuncture, which means treatment can be combined naturally with hands-on therapy and exercise in the same appointment where appropriate.

Complementary

Reflexology

Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive therapy based on the principle that specific points on the feet correspond to different areas of the body. Using precise pressure and massage techniques, the therapist works over these points to encourage relaxation and a sense of overall wellbeing.

Many people find it a deeply relaxing treatment and use it to unwind, ease tension and take some time out — it's carried out fully clothed, with only the shoes and socks removed.

Alongside foot reflexology, our reflexologist also offers facial and auricular (ear) reflexology, with each session tailored to what your body needs. Treatments are commonly used to support relaxation and sleep, and to help with hormonal and digestive balance.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy and works alongside, rather than as a replacement for, medical treatment. A full medical history is taken at your first appointment so treatment is safe and appropriate for you.

Talking therapy

Cognitive Hypnotherapy

Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a short-term, solution-focused talking therapy. It has its origins in hypnotherapy, but draws on a range of evidence-based techniques from different therapeutic disciplines — including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), positive psychology and Gestalt.

It seeks to work out how your unconscious mind is playing a part in creating your issue. By uncovering and challenging often life-long subconscious beliefs and patterns, it equips you with the knowledge and tools to make lasting change.

What can it help with?

  • Anxiety
  • Confidence and self-esteem
  • Imposter syndrome
  • Managing stress
  • Phobias and fears
  • Public speaking
  • Relaxation
  • Sports performance
  • Weight loss
  • Workplace performance

Free initial consultation. Katie offers a free 20-minute consultation to see whether she's the right therapist for you, followed by a 90-minute history session before treatment begins.

Aukse Poplawska

Aukse Poplawska

Reflexologist

Aukse — pronounced OWK-seh, and also known as Alice — is a fully qualified and insured reflexologist based in Havering. She offers foot, facial and auricular (ear) reflexology, with every treatment tailored to what your body needs on the day.

Her approach is calm, intuitive and person-centred. She takes the time to listen, and has spent over 20 years exploring holistic health — an interest that began when her own children were diagnosed with autoimmune conditions and she started looking into natural ways to support their health.

Aukse holds a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology and has undertaken extensive further training, including advanced facial reflexology and Zone Face Lift (Bergman method), aromareflexology, auricular reflexology, reflexology for women's health, pregnancy and fertility reflexology, lymphatic drainage reflexology, and trauma and recovery. She completed a Level 3 Diploma in Counselling in 2026, which she credits with deepening her ability to listen and offer a more client-centred experience.

She has a particular interest in women's health, digestive health, emotional wellbeing, and lifestyle as medicine — taking a holistic view that focuses on the person rather than the symptom.

Whether you are dealing with stress, sleep problems, hormonal changes or digestive issues, or simply want to maintain your wellbeing, Aukse offers a calm and professional space to unwind.

Cognitive Hypnotherapist

It's always a privilege to watch a client empower themself and make changes to their life. Be that taking a flight after years of being paralysed by fear, making a presentation at work when previously they've left jobs when this became a requirement, or discovering a new way to respond to emotional triggers, enabling them to vastly improve their relationships with those around them.

Why me? I'm not only a practitioner, but a client. Cognitive Hypnotherapy changed my life. It allowed me to make lasting change and live a life I love. I am so passionate about what I do because I've experienced the benefits myself.

How I work. I take the time to get to know you so that your experience is tailored entirely to you. I offer an initial 20-minute free consultation to see if I'm the right therapist for you. This is followed by a 90-minute history take, during which I get to know more about you and your story. We then work together to take you from where you are in life to where you want to be. This journey looks different for everyone, but I'll be there to guide you through it every step of the way.
