Confidential, one-to-one support with a qualified counsellor — at your pace, in your own time.
Many people arrive unsure where to start, or whether their problem is "big enough" to bring. It is. Counselling is simply time set aside for you, with someone whose only job is to listen and help you make sense of things.
Modern life can be stressful, and it isn't always clear what to do about a particular problem. Counselling gives you the room to talk openly in a safe and confidential setting with a professional therapist, who will help you find the answers that are right for you and make constructive changes in your life.
We have provided counselling for a number of years and have recently expanded our capacity so we can support more people locally. Our counsellors are registered with the BACP, and you can refer yourself directly — you don't need to go through your doctor.
Please note: we are a private, self-funded counselling service and are not connected in any way to Havering Talking Therapies, who can be reached on 0300 300 1554.

A space to understand what's driving the worry, and to build practical ways of managing it. Many people come to us feeling overwhelmed by work, health or family pressures and unsure where to start — talking it through with someone impartial is often the first step.
Support to talk openly about how you're feeling without judgement, to make sense of where it's coming from, and to gently work towards feeling more like yourself again at a pace that suits you.
Working sensitively with difficult past experiences and their effects on the present. Our counsellors are experienced in trauma work and will always go at a pace you feel comfortable with.
Whether it's a relationship difficulty, bereavement, a big life change or simply feeling stuck, counselling gives you room to think it through with someone whose only focus is you.
Exploring the beliefs you hold about yourself, where they came from, and how they shape your choices — with the aim of building a kinder and more confident relationship with yourself.
Inclusive, affirming support including work around neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ identity, in a confidential space where you're free to be yourself.
Sessions are charged at £50.00 for a one-hour appointment. This is what's known as a "therapy hour" — approximately 50 minutes with your counsellor, with the remaining time used to write up the session afterwards, which is both a professional and a legal requirement.
A short introduction to our counselling service — what it is, who it's for, and how to take the first step.
If you're still unsure whether counselling is right for you, that's completely normal. You're welcome to call the clinic and ask questions before booking anything.
Qualified counsellors offering a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space to talk.

My name is Jodie. I am a fully qualified, trained Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor, which means I use a mixture of modalities to suit the individual — Person Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT.
I have experience working with trauma, LGBTQ+ clients, anxiety disorders, neurodiversity and a range of other mental health issues.
My passion is collaborating with people to help them explore possibilities and recognise their full potential. My focus is helping individuals find the best outcome or solution to their own unique issues, and I do this by providing a tranquil and open-minded space where they can feel heard and validated without judgement.
Jodie has been at the clinic since 2023.

My name is Lauren. I am a fully qualified Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor. I work with many theories, including Person Centred, CBT and Psychodynamic, depending on the presenting problems and issues for the individual. I have experience working with grief, anxiety, depression, trauma and various mental health issues.
I am a member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society, who provide me with a code of ethics that I adhere to.
The counselling setting offers a safe place for my clients to share, whilst maintaining complete confidentiality. I fully believe that an essence of spirituality takes place between client and therapist, which facilitates growth and enables therapeutic healing.
I can assure you that I'll do my best to put you at ease and help you feel comfortable at your appointment. I am very approachable, friendly and professional. I have been through my own counselling as part of my professional development, and was inspired by that experience to work in this very rewarding career.
I am currently halfway through a trauma diploma, which is giving me a deeper understanding of trauma and its effects on our mental and physical wellbeing. During the course we work closely with polyvagal theory, based around the autonomic nervous system, which helps us regulate our bodies whilst gaining greater understanding.

My name is Jess. I am a professionally qualified person-centred therapist and a registered member of the BACP. I hold professional indemnity insurance and a current DBS certificate.
I recognise that deciding to embark on counselling can be a difficult and daunting decision. My aim is to offer a confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that feels right for you. I pride myself on my ability to build open, deep and trusting relationships with my clients, and I tailor my work towards each client's needs to bring about the best working relationship.
I work within a wide range of areas including depression, anxiety, stress, anger management, low self-esteem and self-confidence, to name but a few. I work with adults of all ages including couples, and I have extensive experience working with adolescents and vulnerable young people. As well as clients who self-refer, I also receive referrals from other professionals.
I am passionate about the work I do and believe that individuals have the capacity to create fundamental change in their lives. Counselling gives you the opportunity to resolve conflict, process trauma and develop the tools you need to manage or overcome your difficulties. I will always aim to be flexible with appointment times. You will find me to be empathic, fair, trustworthy and honest. I value each client and their uniqueness, and look forward to meeting and working with you.

My name is Lynne, and I am an integrative counsellor at Havering Therapy Centre. I bring a broad range of experience supporting children and young people through mentoring, facilitation and creative counselling, helping individuals feel heard, understood and supported in a way that meets their needs.
I hold an Advanced Diploma in the Therapeutic and Educational Application of the Arts, as well as a Diploma in Child Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am currently working towards accreditation.
My work is grounded in empathy, warmth and understanding. I offer a creative, client-centred approach, tailoring each session to the individual needs of the person I am supporting. I place particular importance on the therapeutic relationship, creating a safe and trusting space where clients can explore their experiences and move towards meaningful change.
I believe the arts can have a powerful and transformative role within therapy, offering children, young people and adults different ways to express feelings, process experiences and work through challenges. I have experience supporting clients with trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, self-harm, depression and a range of other mental health difficulties.
I understand that taking the first step into counselling can take courage, and I endeavour to support each client with compassion, working at their pace and in a way that feels right for them.

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, but it is a powerful commitment to your own well-being. With over 12 years of clinical experience, I provide a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental environment where you can safely explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work strictly within a professional ethical framework. This ensures our sessions are always safe, confidential and centred entirely around your welfare.
No two people are the same, which is why I practise as an Integrative therapist. This means I carefully blend different therapeutic styles to tailor your sessions to your unique personality, needs and goals. By combining elements of Person-Centred therapy, Psychodynamic insights and Cognitive Behavioural tools, we can look at your life from multiple angles to understand the present, uncover the past and equip you with practical tools to handle life's challenges moving forward.
Throughout my 12 years of practice I have supported clients from all walks of life dealing with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety and stress, depression and low mood, relationship and family issues, loss and life transitions, addiction and self-esteem.
Therapy with me is a collaborative partnership. I will not tell you what to do or give you advice. Instead I will stand beside you as an active listener and gentle guide. Together we will untangle complex emotions, discover your inner strengths and help you gain the clarity needed to make positive lasting changes in your life. Whether you're facing a specific crisis or simply feel stuck and want to understand yourself better, your story matters and you don't have to navigate it alone. I look forward to working with you.
