The Havering Therapy Centre Counsellors
Jodie Brien
My name is Jodie, I am a fully qualified, trained Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor, which means I use a mixture of modalities to suit the individual, Person Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT. I have experience working with Trauma, LGBTQ, Anxiety Disorder, Neurodiversity, and various mental health issues.

My passion is collaborating with people to help them explore possibilities and recognize their full potential. My focus is to help individuals to find the best outcome or solutions to their own unique issues. I do this by providing a tranquil and open-minded space where they can feel heard and validated with no judgement.
Lauren James-Saleh
My name is Lauren, I am a fully qualified integrative Therapeutic counsellor. I work along with many theories, including Person Centered, CBT and Psychodynamic.  These are dependent on the presenting problems and issues for the individual.  I have experience working with grief, anxiety, depression, trauma and various mental health issues.  I am a member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society, who provide me with a code of ethics that I adhere too.

The counselling setting offers a safe place for my clients to share, whilst maintaining complete confidentiality.  I fully believe that an essence of spirituality takes place between the client and the therapist, which facilitates growth for the client which enables therapeutic healing.

I can assure you that I’ll do my best to make you feel at ease.  Whilst helping you to feel comfortable at your appointment.  I am very approachable, friendly, and professional.  I have been through my own counselling as part of my professional development and have been inspired from my own counselling experience to work in this very rewarding career.

I am currently half way through a trauma diploma, which is giving me a deeper understanding of trauma and it's effects on our mental and physical wellbeing.  During the course we work very closely with the polyvagal theory.  This is based around the autonomic nervous system, which helps us to regulate our bodies whilst gaining a greater understanding.
Jessica Coppen
My name is Jess. I am a professionally qualified person-centred therapist and a registered member of the BACP.  I hold professional indemnity insurance and a current DBS certificate.

I recognise that deciding to embark on counselling can be a difficult and daunting decision. My aim is to offer a confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that feels right for you.  I pride myself on my ability to build open, deep and trusting relationships with my clients and I tailor my work towards my client’s needs to bring about the best working relationship.

I work within a wide range of areas including depression, anxiety, stress, anger management, low self-esteem, and self-confidence to name but a few.  I work with adults of all ages including couples, and I have extensive experience working with adolescents and vulnerable young people.  In addition to working with clients who self-refer, I also receive referrals from other professionals.

I am passionate about the work I do and believe that individuals have the capacity to create fundamental change in their lives.  Counselling gives you the opportunity to resolve conflict, process trauma and develop the tools you need to help you manage or overcome your difficulties.  I will always
aim to be flexible with appointment times.  You will find me to be empathic, fair, trustworthy, and honest. I value each client and their uniqueness and look forward to meeting and working with you.
